The Hard Rock Casino At Last

... So the Hard Rock Casino is finally up in Hollywood, Florida and it is the first real Vegas/Atlantic City style casino that has gone up since the Indians have been producing them. It has the biggest poker room in Florida with a gigantic smoke sucking machine coming down from the five story high ceiling. It is big, but because it is the best poker room in the area, and because there are so few poker rooms in the area, the wait for a table is almost unbearable.

So the first time I went, when the lovely lady named Michelle who was taking names, just one of many lovely ladies who were taking names, told me the wait was going to be over two hours, as they had over 35 people ahead of me, I had no choice but to go to the slot machiens. However, this wasn't such a bad thing because I found the Wheel of Fortune machines that I had missed so dearly in Atlantic City. I did have to wait a few minutes, but finally some poor soul lost all their money and a seat opened up and I sat down.

I didn't lose and I didn't win, but I did stay at that machine for about an hour and a half and broke even so it wasn't a horrible experience, and getting to spin the wheel of fortune on bonus spins is one of the most exciting slot experiences there is.

Once again I came home from the casino not able to play any poker all night and I was so very happy because when I sat down at my desk I turned on my computer and played some online poker.

I won about 15 pots out of about 120 and I cashed out up about $315. So here's to online poker! If you care, I won at Empire Poker.
